A scooter bearing is used in many applications on recreational scooters including; mini bikes, ATVs, dirt bikes, and go karts as well as street scooters. You will always find the right scooter bearings in our large selection of quality bearings for scooters at Monster Scooter Parts.

These ball bearings for scooters can be sealed (2RS or RS suffix) or shielded (ZZ or Z suffix). We also have fork bearings and headset steering bearings for scooters. The scooter bearings in the sizes shown below are most commonly used in wheels, transmissions, gearboxes, and various other GY6/QMB139 engine components. Select your scooter bearing size based on the number etched on the side of your bearing.

In case you don't find the size or style of scooter fag bearing you need listed here, just call us or send us an email and we will be happy to special order your specific size that you need.

If you have plastic core scooter wheels then fitting the bearings is very straight forward as they typically can be pushed in by hand without issue.  Fitting scooter bearings into Metal core wheels is a little trickier as they are designed to be a tight fit so pushing them in by hand rarely works.  In our workshop we used to use a vise to gently squeeze them in, but now we use a hammer!!

1.Apply a small amount of grease to the edges of each bearing you are going to install
2.Apply a small amount of grease to the inside hole on the scooter wheel where the bearings are going to be fitted
3.Place the timken bearing over the hole in the wheel and try and make sure that it is straight/level as possible
4.Place either a block of wood or an old paperback book over the top of the bearing and gently strike this with the hammer (Important - do not strike the bearing directly with the hammer)
5.When the bearing has been hammered in fully into the hole in the middle of your wheel it should sit flush with the edge of the wheel
6.Turn the wheel over and insert the bearing spacer (you will need a bearing spacer, if you do not use one your wheel will not spin when you do your axles up securely!)
7.Repeat step '4' but this time be a little careful that the spacer in the middle of the wheel does not turn over as is this happens you will have to take the iko bearings out again!
